Privacy

A short, plain notice.

This notice covers the ROP website as it exists today: a prototype with family-testing readers, an optional device-voice sample, and no live customer billing.

Prototype

Written for what is live now

Parts of this notice describe features that are not built yet. They are marked as future behaviour rather than presented as current.

This website

Google Analytics integration is prepared but is inactive until our web stream is configured. When enabled, it loads only after you allow optional analytics. It measures public-page engagement and predefined feature interactions, excluding reading text, audio and account/payment identifiers from our event payloads. Account and authentication routes and standalone family readers are excluded. You can reject analytics or change your choice through Analytics preferences. Platform hosting and account services may process technical request data; this is not a claim that no data is collected anywhere.

Support messages

Sending a support message requires signing in and agreeing to share the message and your account email with ReadOnPlay support through Gmail. The recipient is the Gmail mailbox connected by the app owner. Messages are sent only when Gmail is configured and accepts delivery. The form keeps unsent text in the current page; it does not save it to an app database or analytics. Gmail mailbox retention applies to delivered messages. Please do not include credentials, payment details or private reading passages.

Signing in

The sign-in screens use the app platform's standard account system, which stores the email address you sign in with. In this phase, no subscription, invoice, payment method, or reading history is attached to that account.

Payments

No payment can be made here. When billing is connected, card details will be entered with and held by the payment provider, not by ROP; the site will receive only the confirmation needed to activate a plan.

The extension, once published

To read a page aloud, the extension needs the text of the page you are viewing. What it processes, what it keeps, and for how long will be described here in full before the Chrome Web Store listing goes live — in the same place, before you are asked to install it.

Your choices

You can use every page on this site without signing in, and without giving any personal details. If you have signed in and want the account removed, you can contact support through the Help page once Gmail delivery is available.

Changes
